Indian Beans (Surati Papdi)

SUGGESTED RECIPE:

Recipe Ingredients:

2 cup  Indian Beans,
1 cup small cut potato,
2 table spoon oil,
1 table spoon cumin seed,
½ table spoon turmeric powder,
1½  table spoon red chilli and coriander powder,
salt as per taste.

METHOD:

Heat the oil into the pan and add cumin seed into it. Then add turmeric powder. Add Indian beans  and cut potato cubes, now mix it well . Add red chilli powder and salt as per taste. Stir it properly then cover the pan , heat it for 2 min and serve it hot.

Indian Beans (Surati Papdi)

Papdi Bean (Surti Papdi) is an edible podded bean is especially popular in the State of Gujarat. The bean is cooked with spices and makes a great accompaniment with Indian breads like poori. It is also an essential for the vegetable medley dish called undhiyu. Seeds are pale brown in colour. It is  rich in dietary fibre lowers blood cholesterol levels.  it is good source of viatmin B and good source of anti-oxidant.
